The Audio Engineering Society (AES) and NAMM have once again joined forces and put together a Pro Sound Symposium program this year. This event program runs in parallel with the NAMM show and offers technical presentations and hands-on training. This year, Townsend Labs has been invited to host a presentation on microphone modeling as part of the Microphone Academy on Friday, January 25th.

Several manufacturers now offer modeling microphones, but understanding the distinctions between the different offerings is not always apparent. Titled "Is There a Modeling Microphone in Your Future", our product expert Julian David will provide an overview of the various available modeling systems and how they compare. In addition, a special focus will be on how to use the Townsend Labs Sphere L22 mic modeling system to achieve great results quickly. He will furthermore explain how to solve common recording problems and talk about new creative workflows that are impossible with traditional microphones.

Julian's workshop takes place in room C7 on level 4 of the Anaheim Hilton, right next to the Convention Center. Join us at 2:00pm on Friday to find out if there should be a modeling microphone in your future!

Please note: this event requires an entirely separate registration with an associated fee.
A regular NAMM pass does not grant access to the event. Find out more and register here.
